14 years ago, Mike Strine had a great idea. Starting out with a small rental in Conneaut's historic harbor, The VIDEO DOCK began business. A few years later, the facility moved into the downtown section in a larger rental and Tanning Booths were added to the business. In 1998, the business was again moved, but this time to a building that Mike owned at 322 State Street. A Pizza shop was added, and a year later, a full service gymnasium. During this entire time, Mike was a full time police officer with the city of Conneaut. After retiring from C.P.D. in 2003, Mike sold the business in 2004 and began working towards a move to Florida. The new owners opted to move the business once again, into the existing building at 381 Broad Street, one of Conneaut's busiest commercial corners. The video store was sold to a local competitor and Tan Tropics was born. Today, Tan Tropics is a full service Tanning Salon and is an Australian Gold Premiere Salon. We welcome the opportunity to show you WHY you should tan with us. We believe that once you've set foot in our facility, it will become clear WHY we dominate the marketplace, and HOW we intend to continue to do so.
